The Creative Block is an ongoing discussion about staying inspired; blocks can be overcome and turned into strategies, or building blocks, for creating original ideas. I encourage you to post comments with your own suggestions and stories about how to maintain a creative edge in the face of deadlines, option paralysis, distractions and overwhelm.
I’ve been a fine artist since about 1968, when I started oil painting at 9 years old. I became a full-time artist in 1988 and a graphic designer off and on since 1990. I am currently producing a 1000-piece series called The Weekly Press, which is a digital sketchbook to explore ideas, techniques and processes. You can view my résumé here.
